Planet FM is your voice in the community and while there are numerous stations broadcasting in English, this is the only one where ordinary people make the programmes without editorial influence.  The broadcasters must obey the law, but the programmes have their own point of view.

On 104.6FM people with disabilities make radio, there are programmes on books,the arts, mental health, health and education;  also radio especially for our older citizens, current affairs for youth,  gays and lesbians, social and political issues. The community of Ranui has their own show, ethnic and women's issues are discussed in English,  there's an hour for Greens and a slot for Fly Fishing and another about Highland Cattle
